Cordial

Today Megan bottled five litres of red elderflower and rose petal cordial. It’s very high in sugar, but tastes (and smells) lovely if you like that sort of thing.

The rain was light but persistent. In between showers I replaced the lid on the septic tank. More sweet notes.

As the rain sets in we settle down to an afternoon double bill with Eurovision - which is surprisingly good. Angus is very hungover, but even he is chortling at the ridiculous antics of the pop hopefuls.

I cook and then we continue our program with Missing - one of my favourite films from adolescence. Megan is impressed.
