Still Life

Today's the day ............................ for some fruit and veg

This is a painting which Will did in 2004. It has hung on a wall in our kitchen ever since then - and it's one of my favourites.

I love the way he has painted the fruit and vegetables. The apples are so realistic that you feel you could lift one from the paper and crunch into it - and as for that pepper, or the lemon?

We keep our fruit in that big blue dish to this day. Not the same fruit as here, of course (!) but still the same bowl ........................
