Day 181/20. Time to sharpen the knives.

Every couple of months I take a little time to sharpen our kitchen knives. Today the job was done. Anyone that comes to stay and uses our knives often comment on the keeness of the blades.
My grandad taught me how to sharpen knives using a stone and some oil. The stone he gave me is well over 100 years old now, and still does a good job. Perhaps I'll pass it to one of my grandsons in time. But as they are 6 and 4 it won't be for a while.....
