LOCK DOWN DAY 98

What a busy, busy, day. First thing this morning I went down to Porthmeor Beach. I love, love, love the beach. I'm allowed to go on the beach before 10am and after 6pm and there was only me and one other doggie there. Yay! I had a whole beach to myself. How fabulous was that?!! Bet it won't be like that after the 4th July.

After that Ann painted the decking and the back wall (see extras). Then we had to go on a walk to pick up our car from a friends house. She'd left it there yesterday after consuming rather a lot a couple of glasses of wine. …..........Here I am on my walk being Blipped in Ann's favourite view of St Ives.

Once we got home I got left 'home alone' while Ann popped over to B&M in Penzance to stock up on 'cleaning stuff'. We rent out our house in St Ives and have' 16 bookings between 11th July and the end of September. Ann is really panicking about what cleaning procedures she should be putting in place. ….............BUT, we've said it before and we'll say it again................. We'll do our very best to keep holiday makers safe but at the end of the day, if people are prepared to come on holiday then they have to accept some responsibility for themselves.

Anyway, when Ann came home she said, 'Trixie, I'll take you for a walk along the river at St Erth and then you can wait in the car while I go to the garden centre to buy some plants. So that is what we did. No queues at B&M or the garden centre. No wonder everyone from a city wants to come and isolate down here. It's like a different world. Bet it won't be like that after the 4th July.

Plants bought, and by the time we got home, Mr Sunshine had come out to play, so Ann said, 'Trixie, I'm just going to sit in my hanging egg chair and drink wine.

….....................So that is what she did for a couple of hours.

Our weather app is telling us that rain is forecast for the next couple of days. Booohoo.
