Fly's Eye
Tiny Tuesday: Fly's Eye
Today's macro challenge has the subject "eye". The last few days have been cold and wet and the insect life is quieter than it has been. So there were no damselflies and fewer bees than usual. But this little fly sitting on a leaf kept still long enough for me to capture it with the camera. There's more eye detail if you want to look in large.
Being able to see the furry velvet texture of the leaf up close is an interesting side effect of the shot - its common name is "lambs ear". I can still remember Dad showing me this plant when I was small and getting me to stroke the leaf.
