Backwards glance

When I go to pick him up after his shift, he gets to practice his driving on the way home. 

Today though, after he'd jumped straight into the driver's seat, I pointed out that he'd left me to attach all the L Plates. 

"I think," he replied, deliberately missing the point, "you mean both the L Plates". 

Next time, let's see how much he enjoys the walk.
