The Birthday Boy To Be

We're two days early but as a Tuesday is not a great party day for folk we decided to have an early celebration in honour of Little D's soon-to-be 2nd birthday. It was a lovely family meal and the kids enjoyed having a playroom to dip in and out of. Little D became rather attached to one of the Mickey Mouse toys that played a tune over and over and over again - and yes it was extremely irritating! Hey ho, he's the birthday boy so what he wants goes... We had a gorgeous 'nee naw' cake and Little D's face was full of delight when it came out, candles lit. Of course his big sis 'helped' blow out the candles and, although neither of them really ate much dinner, they managed to put an awul lot of cake away! It was a lovely evening and, once the kids had come down from their sugar high they slept all night, not a peep. Little D even managed without his dummy for the first time ever - clever lad! (This was following on from him agreeing to throw all his dummies in the bin on Friday as 'they're for babies'. We did keep a sneaky one in case of emergency but hopefully the need for this will now pass.)

Miss A also had her friend's birthday party earlier in the day - a great sucess!
