Roasted almonds

This is the only picture I've taken all day.

Needless to say, I've been home all day as well. Busy on my laptop in "my" office! I was accused of not being spontaneous today, so when I did the ice cream after dinner, I decided to add these smoked almonds along with the Amarula. They made all the difference. I don't know why we've never done this before.

It's the last day of June and half the year is over. It is my youngest nephews birthday. He's 22 now. He was born in the summer that France hosted the World Cup. G& I arrived in London the day after he was born. He had incredibly strong lungs, something we discovered when he wailed in the middle of the first night! Thought I'd post a picture taken a few days later. Happy days!
