Life from city to village

Resurfacing

So the local council are apparently resurfacing the road alongside my work in Scunthorpe for the next four weeks. They were supposed to be closing the road at one end this week, the other end next week etc... Except I arrived this morning to find it closed at both ends. I was irritated and it took a little while to find a way round - including along this road.

It was a fairly busy day. I spent a few hours this morning sorting out details from last night. I got the three Board papers in on time, then found a new meeting had gone in my diary for something I had no idea about. They want me to do a piece of work - with a very short deadline, but I'm still a little unclear about what exactly is wanted.

Still. I got through things, bar my email in box is far too full, so I'm going to have to spend some time clearing that out. I keep setting the email to auto save emails but it doesn't seem to work.

But good news at the end of the day as my youngest passed the first year of his EPQ with flying colours. The EPQ is where the student picks a topic, researches and then produces a final essay. He is doing the history of artificial intelligence in film.
