Field native

The wheat is turning from green to gold in the fields surrounding our local wood, and this dandelion was the only one growing on the edge of the field.  Its bright yellow flower head stood against the ripening crop and, although it was being blown about in the wind, I managed to get a fairly sharp shot.

The wood is planted with beech and wild cherry trees and I noticed the elderflowers are putting out their berries.
