A natural bouquet
I was looking at where the deer had eaten and pulled off one of the tender young branches of a conifer and noticed a lovely mixture of battered wild flowers behind squashed through the fence probably by the wind and the rain.
A dark day with showers but the ground is now getting some moisture which is sinking below the surface of the soil. T has sold a group of his suckler cows with their calves but I am not sure when they will be picked up. They will be going over the border into Dorset - not too far away. A from next door knocked on my door to apologise for the noise the cockerel is making. I haven't heard it very often but it was supposed to be a young hen when it arrived! It will probably go back to its breeder in exchange for another hen. They can become a menace and become threatening.
