Another butterfly

In the Ardeche, Blues are difficult to identify (for me) as there is a huge choice of possible species. The Hebrides with 14 regulalry occuring species of butterfly are easier - there is the Common Blue and nothing else in terms of Blues.
For a change then I can confidently identify this as a Common Blue. Not that there is anything common about the stunning colour here - a local leaflet on butterflies writes "Hebridean common blues are thought to be the largest and most attractive of all its many variations" and on the basis of this example, who am I to argue.
Another day another takeaway. This time an excellent pizza from the Berneray Bistro consumed on a pcnic bench on what we call the Camping Beach. The flaky smoked salmon and prawn topping was inspired!
