Family day

A week or so ago, when we knew that going abroad this week wasn’t happening, we decided to have a day out at the seaside. Parking booked (x 3 cars), indications were that it would be around 22 degrees. Caleb excited about making sandcastles on the beach, paddling in the sea and Austin enjoying the experience.

Today we woke to rain ....... never mind it will be sunny by the seaside ...... drove to the beach ........ raining!!!! Hubby tried to fly his kite, simple as it was so windy, not overly helped by the teeming rain ...... we ended up getting soaked. So after an hour and a half at the beach, (our son and his wife had just arrived), We were already wet, cold and fed up with the weather, we returned to our daughters to have our picnic lunch, laid the rug on the lounge floor to add to the experience :)

Having eaten too much, we decided to walk to the local pond to feed the ducks / swans & cygnets. Caleb managed to run off some energy and Austin loved looking at the scenery. Lovely to be together for the day :)

Looking forward to trying a day at the beach later in the year :)
