A close friend of mine lost a friend today. He’d struggled with cancer. He lost his wife a couple of years ago. He leaves behind an 8 year old son and a daughter in her 20s. His children are half brother and sister and the daughter is now due to take on parenting the son. I can’t quite take in how tragic it is.

My friend messaged me to tell am and said she was going for a run. I ran too in solidarity. We don’t live anywhere near each other but it was quite meaningful knowing we were running at the same time as each other.
