Third Bridge, Northfield, Vermont, USA

The Upper Covered Bridge is a 51 foot long queenpost truss. It carries Cox Brook Road over Cox Brook. This bridge was built in around 1872. This bridge is only 0.2 miles from the Lower Bridge and 0.4 miles from the Station Bridge on the same road. This bridge is also known as the Third Bridge.

This is the lovely February picture on my Covered Bridges calendar.

I can't wait to return to Vermont...

A sluggish day at the workhouse with the threat of snow challenging our staff meeting - still it went ahead and we covered lots. That was good.

Snow is on its way again, but with the coal fire on, and plying the weekend's achievement in spinning the Blue Faced Leiceseter - I found the perfect ply pal...a cheeky wee cashmere I bought in....... Vermont!

Topical blip all round.
