closing time

that most unexpected of things, a brain found functioning before even the scent of coffee had hit the synapses... there's a definite change in the weather now, the morning spent in indoor progressions the plan to beat the forecast thunderstorm in the afternoon failing as the edge of it found me about half way to the hills. the storm was a belter, short and sharp, lasting little more than an hour bringing torrents of exploding raindrops and a sky borrowed from midnight.

later the weekly indulgence, a glass of whisky as i watch de Piffle Paffle whipped by Starmer at pmq's... it must be kind of embarrassing for the tory voters, if voting for them allows the retention of any sense of such things as honesty and decency, to watch the ineptitude of this government on display, the blatant lies and misrepresentations; the lack of any kind of plan or leadership on offer from these frauds and charlatans as they wander mapless into the clusterfuck of brexshit, with a sense of overwheening arrogance and entitlement...

although i think the best bit of yesterday was that the junior pm didn't seem to realise that there's a border between england and scotland. seriously, it does baffle me that people voted for this sub drumpfian numpty but what i think is more worrying is that people still believe that this government are competent, or for the truly out there, doing a good job, that their approval figures are still in the realm of real numbers takes it beyond the orwellian sphere and into kurt vonnegut territory...
