Water Avens & Cottongrass
I took a lot of bird photos today but have gone with a botanical subject for a change.
I walked from the village of St Margaret's Hope out to Hoxa Head and back. Divebombed by six Arctic terns at one point, and the language! At the head there were razorbills, including the first raz chick I've seen this summer, guillemots, a few great skua, a single Arctic skua and a few puffins. The latter were on cliff that couldn't be approached closely but I have put a distant shot on as extra. Another extra is of a tystie or black guillemot, one of six on the cliff.
