Who was that masked man?
First day on the water this year (I think)! And the final work party before lift in, facemasks compulsory. Within five minutes, I noticed the other two had slipped them off below their noses. And I was the one doing all the heavy lifting. Not long after that I followed suit.
Back to do an enjoyable bit of weeding and cutting back before gathering with some sixty others for MsV’s leaving do at the old work. Much reminiscing and sharing online of photos from the good old days.
So, some updates to life as it must be lived. Kids eleven and younger can now socialise together and can hug their grandparents! I suppose these rules always have built in inconsistencies. I mean, I can now hug my granddaughter, my daughter can hug her daughter, but I can’t hug my daughter. Still, small mercies. However, on the downside, we’ve to wear masks in shops! Given we’ve already had months of lockdown, this must be to put the final squeeze on it as we head towards elimination and we open up the economy. But not yet. We’ve until 10th July to go and buy the bloody things. And then you won’t be allowed in a shop to buy them if you’ve run out. You’ll need to send a small boy. A well scrubbed small boy.
