By the shore of Lake Wanaka in the rain

It rained most of the day. Not gentle raindrops but quite intense downpours at times. When it sort of stopped humanity ventured forth. This statue is quite striking, made by a local artist and is called 'The Hand that Nurtures'. Apparently it's popular with children for climbing.
