The aroma of baking.......

Stephen has been in baking bread and cake mode this afternoon.
I was very tired after all the gardening yesterday morning and got up late, having not slept very well during the night.
Never caught up with myself!
The aroma of the orange cake baking in the oven was very mouthwatering.
A long video call from the States just before teatime. 6 hours behind us in Austin. And steamingly hot and stormy apparently just now.
A slice of the aforementioned cake has been consumed at teatime, along with a sandwich.
I haven’t been outside the door all day so took a photo of the cake.
