Where’s Nathaniel?
See if you can find him in one of his favourite trees! #3 daughter brought the children up for the afternoon- it was too cold to sit about so we went for a walk in the woods. Her oldest friend Zoe - they knew each other from babies - was coming from Northants to stay the weekend with Chris, her mum, Poppy and Rex the pup (blipped yesterday)
. Zoe and her husband arrived in one car, Chris in another and we all headed for the woods. It was easy to keep a distance. The children picked blueberries and played in their favourite places with me while Zoe and daughter had a chance to catch up.
Ella was besotted with Rex but Nathaniel wanted to chat. He decided we’d not go home with the others as he wanted to go his favourite rock so we went another way. While walking he related to me the whole plot of all the Indiana Jones films. He also said that sometimes when he was at school he couldn’t exactly remember his mum and dad’s face in his head. I asked how he felt about that and he had a think and said it made him feel sad. Children are fascinating aren’t they?
I hope you are all safe and well. Our Government is without morals. The plan for senior schools going back is ridiculous - how can they be in year group bubbles yet be taught all their option subjects. And the government promised iPads for poorer students who had no access at home. Daughters school needed 90, they were promised 7 - and they still have not appeared.
