Shopping

With travel restrictions lifted today we went shopping - in North Berwick. Not for the items on the tea trolley, but for the trolley itself, which was listed on Ebay way back in early March as Buy It Now and 'buyer uplift'. It was to replace this one, which has served us well but whose joints are decidedly creaky.

Then came lockdown.

I negotiated with the seller that, if I bought it, he would hold onto it until we were permitted to travel the 20-odd miles; once the First Minister announced the appropriate date we arranged that I could collect it this morning. And here it is! What a lovely seller.

On the way home we nipped into Lidl, suitably masked - though I saw only one other customer wearing one - and indulged ourselves in their bakery and other bits and bobs only they sell. What fun to actually enter a shop and choose my own produce! Better not make a habit of it, though.
