Morning Light

Morning calls issue from the Pileated Woodpecker crossing a meadow.
In the shadow of wood smoke Stellar Jays visit the suet block.
 Chestnut-backed Chickadees tend a nestbox attached to the Alder. 
In a corridor of darkening green, a small bat dances across the evening
As the Swainson's Thrush provides the symphony.
