Anniversary Tapas

This is our first meal out at a restaurant in months—and probably our last for a while. They were doing only outdoor seating with good distance between tables. We couldn’t break our traditional of a great meal out for our anniversary (15 years). We ended up at a tapas restaurant (Vaca). Pictured are four of the six tapas we had (lamb meatballs; “bikini sandwiches” with jamon, manchego, and black truffle; chicken cannoli with foie gras and sherry sauce; and octopus and potato with pimenton). We also had shrimp in broth on toasted bread, sausage with bean purée, and ended with a cheese board. The wine was an extremely nice aged rioja (1994! I would have been 10 or 11 when it was harvested).
