Way back in the last century, shortly after arriving in Berkeley, I lived for a year in this apartment building with a Swedish logician named Ulf. When Ulf and I split up, I moved to my own flat a few blocks away, and through all the succeeding relationships and dwellings, I continued to live in the same neighborhood. At present this building is only six blocks from my house, but I never really focused on it until I took this photo. It seems to have been upgraded slightly since my day.
