Topiary Silliness

Funny sort of day. Matthew came across early to queue for his hair cutting. At 7:45 for 9:00 opening. Fortunately he was third in the queue and Sam turned up early and opened at 8:00. The other barbers did the same but had over 14 waiting outside!

He then popped in for a coffee and chat. We  opened up his flat pack wardrobe in order to check it and to fit it in the car. Following that I managed to fit in a short hilly bike ride where I came across this hedge on the way home...couldn’t resist! I also encountered lots  of caravans and camper vans heading to Rosedale for the weekend.

Pickering was busy too so with this in mind decided a walk in Cropton Forest would ensure we stayed well away from the crowds. Met no one apart from tadpoles in the track side ditch, Ringlet, Woodland Brown and a solitary Common Blue butterfly.
