Orchid - out of the blue

Orchids are the superstars of the wild flower world. This was the first time I had seen a white variety which sprang up out of the blue in a garden border. It was blown over by the fierce wind this morning. I brought it in to photograph with a background of a beautiful stained glass plaque. I think the flower spikes look as if they are metamorphosing into squid with their little eyes!
