Woodland and Countryside

Pure blue skies and sunshine got us moving - even though Sundays is so quiet and lovely on my balcony! The countryside was calling and so we caught a bus, the metro and another country bus to reach the fields and woods above Lausanne. 

When connections are good, like today, the whole journey only takes 30 minutes. It's gorgeous up there with green fields, plenty of woodland and perfect shade on a hot day!

When my grandson was younger and still came to stay, we used to go up here often with a picnic. I had my little car in those days, so it only took 15 minutes.

26C (78.8F) today, but with a tiny refreshing breeze and a walk in the shade!
