Guardians of the Stray

A number of scarecrows have mysteriously popped up on the Stray. Recently some of the grassy areas have been re-seeded and the scarecrows have been placed there to scare away birds from eating the fresh seeds.
They have been created by various local primary schools. A good idea for a project which must have been great fun for the kids that were involved.
This part of the Stray is currently closed to the public whilst the grass grows, so these shots were taken from a distance. I couldn't choose one scarecrow to use for my blip, so created a sort of collage.
It is good to see that the grass is growing nicely after the recent warm weather and rain.
