And yes, gold, not gold plated. These shops are the norm here..
I attempted a beach walk but the tide was high and the amount of plastic and other rubbish was ridiculous.. I had to watch so carefully where I was walking that I gave up.
We went to Carrefour this afternoon then drove 20 minutes to another mall. Very, very quiet.. dinner was chicken shawarma, with a hint of cinnamon. Very nice. Apparently the Lebanese use up to 7 spices in this dish.
