I had an 8.45 appointment with my GP (family doctor) today. Woke up to a few centimetres of snow.

Choice - jump in the car as usual, for the 5 minute drive (but probably more, on account of the great British snow panic) or walk 30 minutes.

Well, since I'm supposed to be losing weight and getting more exercise and the appointment was to be all about blood pressure, cholesterol and so on, the walk was almost unavoidable.

I went through the woods on the way back - the route I used to run on, and now cycle. I miss those runs. 5 miles, mostly through these woods. If I get my weight down a bit more, and if my blood pressure stays "cool", and if my achilles tendon & knee behave, maybe...

Ifs, buts, maybes.
