Resting peacock butterfly

I saw loads of butterflies in the front garden today, many of them fluttering around in pairs or even threesomes, but this rather battered peacock butterfly was alone and resting in the sun. For Mono Monday with its theme ‘alone’, with thanks to 60plus for hosting in July. 

Busy day in what’s going to be a very busy week. Weekly grocery shopping, then shopping for the paint and painting accessories for the baby room, bringing DJ’s car for a tune-up, and finally starting taping off all corners and plinths in the baby room.
