Broughty Beach and across to Fife
A lovely warm day with a warm breeze
I had arranged to meet my friend for lunch at the Bay Diner in Monifieth, where we always met prior to him going in to hospital. I drove to the beginning of the Broughty water front and walked the 3 miles or so to Monifieth.
The beach was quiet as it was still early, it was beautifully clean and I liked the layers of colour with beach, water and sky.
We had a great old Chin Wag over lunch, nothing fancy, just a bacon roll and a cuppa. We did have a chat with the owner about the issue of taking down statues - he was of the opinion that it didn’t change history so it was a waste of time.
Walking back briskly, I made good time and had a good rest on a lounger in the sunshine in the garden.
