Mixed Produce

And a mixed day.
Yesterday the holiday cottage we had booked for early August was cancelled on us after the final payment had been taken, due to the caretaker demanding a week between each stay to clean to Covid standards...annoying as they were just cancelling every other booking but we were unlucky. With little choice we had to rebook one of the few remaining options that looked ok but it’s far further north meaning hotels booked for the journey were in the ‘wrong place’. After spending some time tonight trying to rescue the situation and booking other hotels (or trying to with some websites not functioning properly) we then realised that the cottage dates had changed from Friday change over to Saturday change over so the hotel bookings are still a big mess. Gave up and went to bed with bookings and cancellations in disarray. Will need to sort out tomorrow but it’s tricky to do when places are shut and can’t phone during office hours due to work.!! There’s no guarantee we’ll be allowed to travel to Scotland anyway. Strangest holiday planning time ever.
