My little Chinese friends gave me this cross stitch bear. I'm not entirely sure if they made it or their grandma. I think she might have been teaching them cross stich. Schools are open here now, but due to a bureaucratic hiccup the girls didn't get registered. Due to some language difficulties we can not work out what is going to happen. We still swim with them and their language skills and swimming skills are improving, however, mum and grandma have very limited english.
I had a terrible couple of days. I lost my engagement ring. I took it of before going to bed and dropped it. The following morning I looked for it but could not find it. Hubby helped me search, but no joy. The following day he went out while I caught up on domestic duties. As you can imagine I was distraught and teary. I decided that it had to be somwhere, and set about searching again. There was only one place that I hadn't looked. At the foot of the bed there is a cubby hole where I keep shoes. I emptied out the shoes, I was just about to give up when I saw it . Somehow it had bounced in to the shoe storage place. My tears were for joy.
I am putting up an extra for Crispin. He mentioned that he was craving fish and chips. These were the ones that we enjoyed on Friday night. Not cooked by me, they are served at a restaurant in Chiang Mai. The owner is from England and married to a lovely Thai lady. He is actually stranded in England at the moment. He went on a visit and the virus hit.
