Hendrix was very carefully putting all of the shapes, from the shape box, onto one of the old Commer trucks. He'd get them all, five of them, to balance but when he moved them the shapes would fall off.
Granny, being the smart one in the family, suggested using elastic bands to hold the shapes on, but only use one on each truck.
They actually do look like cargo on those small trucks.

In a former life, immediately after leaving the RAF, I did some long distance lorry driving but only for a couple of years. I was an absolute whizz at reversing and parking 40 foot trailers and also sheeting and roping the cargo. I should have thought about it at the time but even with string doing those 'truckers hitch' knots to get the rope tight would have been very fiddly!
