Gift from the garden

Our daughter came past with these hydrangeas from her garden. Her completely walled in garden is very sheltered and sunny and has a wealth of these bushes around the wall. They are all different varieties and colours and look stunning at the moment.

We also have several but ours are mostly blue. we live close to the cliffs and get the salt blowing in on the wind during storms. Many plants don’t like being washed by spray so don’t thrive.

The garden vegetables are doing well, we have dined on peas and courgettes this week. The potatoes seem close to harvest too which is a treat in store. The French beans are doing well too. The broccoli is finished and so we have planted some new plants in their place. We have bought two winter squash plants which we will watch with interest. :)
