Youngsters
The birds were so busy at the feeders this afternoon, that I was able to sit a few feet away without distracting them at all. They cleaned out the suet within a few hours, and continued to look for scraps on the ground. I frequently wonder why the activity varies without any obvious reasons, like weather or time of day. All of the fledglings undoubtedly had something to do with it this time, and I was able to capture a few of them today. Above is a Blue Jay, and I have included a baby Northern Cardinal as an extra.
