My rebellious youth
This is a watercolour of me in my younger days being carted off to the local police station during a protest march.............
OK - I did go on protest marches in the seventies, but I was always too scared to get on the wrong side of the law to put myself in any real trouble. So I manned the barricades, but stopped short of throwing anything at the bobbies. Apart from being terrified of prison, I was even more terrified of having to tell my parents.
But this painting lets me escape into fantasy land every now and then. And I can always plan ahead to be a radical granny in my old age. Maybe Dog the Bounty Hunter will get on my case.
