City centre

Went for an eye test today and discovered that my eyes have improved. Is it due to less stress or the fact I just haven’t worn my glasses for months unless I drive to the shops and back?
It was strange to be in town again after such a long time; a slight air of gloom as, although shops are open again, there was not a lot of appetite for people to go out and spend. Quite a lot of shops are boarded up and closed for good. The 480 year old cathedral has seen it all, good and bad times and much worse than we are experiencing now.
