Shady deals

Today featured an appointment with the opticians. I was shocked to find I had not been since 2018. I paid for the more expensive test which took pictures of the eyes to check out their health. All healthy....phew!

New prescription required. But it doesn't stop there. New frames required for the  everyday varifocals but an additional prescription and frames for screen work. AND THEN THERE"S DRIVING!  So my everyday varifocals use transitions technology - they go dark when hit by UV light. Problem is that UV is filtered out by the car windscreen - driving in the summer is a nightmare. The solution was to hand in my old Ray Bans so they could provide me with a polarised lens within those old aviator frames. I thought I'd blip the Ran Ban lenses - it's not often you would see these out of frames.
