Through The Eyes Of Others

One of the most important lessons I've learned in life, is that I'm not always right and I don't need to be. I used to be so obsessed with having my opinion heard, making my point, making sure I got a say that I forgot how wonderful a thing it is that we are allowed to have different views, to be able think for ourselves and that other people might just be able to change my mind.

Seeing things through the eyes of others doesn't mean you need to sacrifice part of yourself, on the contrary, you are bettering yourself, widening your horizons and opening yourself up to a whole different perspective on life. Of course, you may see things through their eyes and still prefer the view through your own but then you can be happy in the knowledge you've examined other possibilities and won't be wondering 'what if?'.
