A frosty morning and a calm sunny day - perfect winter conditions and so typical on Nelson’s weather at this time of the year.

We took an early drive to Marahau (NZ) in search of low lying mist, but had no luck finding any - the frost deposits were impressive though!

I discovered this narrow wooden bridge, the ice crystals sparkling as the sun rays extended above a distant bush-covered hill.

This really needs to be seen in large and against the dark background!
