At a Snail's Pace
That is about how fast I'm moving today - it's horribly humid out with temps nudging 90. Even the snails are moving slowly...oh, wait, they're snails after all!
Anyhoo... I didn't want to make you wait any longer for the TT results. As always, you made it very difficult to narrow down my top picks. But without further adieu, Snail Hearts go to:
Flying for her stunning rendition of a seed head
LesleyAshford for a lovely drippy fuzzy bee
Ladyluck for a beautifully processed selectively colored damselfly
DawgGirl for a fun gathering of Tinies, all safely distanced
KangaZu for her beautiful little metallic carnivore
And Honorable Snail Mentions to...
Incredibilish for the amazing details on the little ladybird nymph
AnnieBelle for her amazingly alien-like stick insect
KenGrace for his "timely" macro
Leemsnook for an eye-popping burst of color with a side of sweetness
KenPetch for a magical image with a nod to Russian composer, Nikolai Rimsky-Korsakov
Next week's tag will be #TT268.
We joined a Zoom Town Hall Meeting today with the director of the care facility where MIL lives. We both really like him, and appreciate his weekly updates to the families of the residents in Independent, Assisited, and Long Term Care. He made a significant point that the only mechanism they have to protect their fragile residents from this virus are "hand washing, social distancing, and wearing of masks". He attributes those three things to the fact that their facility has not lost a single resident or staff member to Covid, nor have they had any resident outbreaks since the Pandemic began. I would plead those who think masks are "silly" or political to take a moment to think about this.
And in closing...be safe, be kind, be loving.
