The Baulks.

In February 2014 a huge storm smashed through the baulks protecting Porthleven harbour, destroying 10 boats and damaging about 30 others.
Two years later someone had the idea of cutting up the remains into planks, which artists could use for painting boards or for making sculptures.
200 works were auctioned in 2017 and the proceeds given to the Fisherman’s Mission.

We weren’t there for the auction, but bought this poster which we have hanging in the kitchen.
An indoor blip for today.

Our son and family are now in Cornwall on their way to Porthleven for a weeks holiday.
I hope the weather is better than here.
Cold and wet all day.
We put the central heating on after lunch.
MrC had his hair cut this afternoon, and is certainly feeling the cold!
