The Good Mother

Here is a photo of one of the hardest working birds in our yard: the Mama Robin. She is mother to, and chief caretaker of, the little clan of "grumpy old men" that I showed you a few days ago in their nest in the big lilac bush. In this photo, she is transporting a tasty worm to her babies. It was one of many, MANY meals she brought to her little ones on this hot summer day.
