Strimmer Extraordinaire

Mike working hard to make fire breaks around our house. Two of the trees we've planted to the right - a grapefruit in front, and we can't remember what the other one is!

I've finished Girl, Woman, Other by Bernardine Evaristo, what a book! Highly recommended for insight into worlds I, for one, know next to nothing about. And very readable, in fact, hard to put down. I will be looking out for other books by her.

Gratefuls:
- a cloudy start to the day, then - suddenly! - baking sunshine
- deciding to go up to the top of the Land to water the other grapefruit, and finding the tap to the water tank was gone (stolen, or malicious??) - which meant we got it before too much water was lost - would have been awful if it had happened while we were away - really felt like Someone was watching out for us
- finding a few tomato plants have survived in amongst the growth
