Today’s blip is about a single tube of oil paint. It’s new, arrived today and is rare. Once a year the paint makers Gamblin clean the filters in the workshop where they make oil paints. They collect all the pigment dust from the filters and instead of throwing it out they turn it into oil paint. Because it is a mix of all the colours they make it is inevitably a grey but each year the grey is slightly different depending on the amounts of each colour they have been making.
It is, by its very nature, a limited edition and hard to get hold of.
