Wet Wet Wet

Disappointed with myself that I got caught out by the weather - I'm usually good at reading the radar/charts.

I was going to ride the "Yellow Brick Road"  for the first time and then continue up Red Road to Red Gate and then ???.   I got out to Buteland where I surveyed the ominous skies and decided that I really didn't want to get caught out on the open hills in a thunderstorm so bolted for home.

Quite the worst weather I've ridden in for a long time  - soaked to the skin despite waterproof (?) jacket.  So much water comes up from the tyres and passing traffic it became quite amusing once one surrendered to the wetness!  So it was a quick 30 Km on road rather than the longer hill route I'd planned.
