Sad day

When this picture was taken, I celebrated that the holiday had just started. But just an hour later, joy turned to sorrow.

Loved Stella! Got a sad start to the holiday when after dinner I looked for our dog Stella who did not come when I shouted. I found her on the couch in the living room. She had simply died in her sleep there. We're so sad, but it's still nice to think she died at home, safely on the couch. She has been alert and playful right up to the end, even though she apparently got older and did not run as fast when she played.
